The Hood River valley in Oregon, with its rich, volcanic soil, produces some of the finest apples, pears and cherries on Earth. It is also one of the most beautiful places you could ever visit. If your travels find you in the area, be sure to stop by our Fruit Stand and say hello!
Our web site offers you direct access to our orchard, nestled at the foot of majestic Mt. Hood in Oregon.
There's always something interesting going on at the Mountain View Orchards Fruit Stand. This year we have a lineup of 4 special events.
U-Pick Cherries, Peaches, Pears & Apples (out of fresh peaches for 2013)
We are still allowing our people to u-pick when the fruit is available.
- Cherries should be ready by July 10 at $1.50/pound.
- Prunes and peaches are $1.00/pound starting at the middle of August.
- Apples and pears are available by August 25th. All apples and pears (except Honeycrisp) are 50 cents/pound.
We ask that you not use our ladders or drive your car out to pick. And please, do not dump our fruit onto the ground if you find another variety. I'd hate to see a few people ruin the u-pick for everyone. So, please follow these simples rules, and do enjoy this experience. No ladders.
* We now accept Oregon Trail Cards, WIC, Senior coupons, VISA.
